2025 Boy's Bowling 2nd in State, Girls finish 6th

Scotland Bowling had two teams and five individuals compete in the NC State Bowling Championships. The girls' team had a good run at a state championship but finished 6th overall. The boys fought to the finals, where they came up just short against a strong Southern Lee team. The boys' team finished 2nd after coming up short in a hard-fought match that saw them lose game 1, win game 2, and game 3 ended up in a tie. The loss came after a 2-frame bowl-off.
The girls' team had 2 representatives in the singles competition, Addison Johnson and Marissa Smith. Addison had a 392 series and Marissa had a 370 series. The boys' team had 3 representatives in the singles competition, Garrett Boyer, Kenan Smith, and Dillon Tilson. Kenan bowled a 548 series, while Dillon came in with a 584 series, coming up just 1 pin shy of a 10th-place finish. Garrett placed 2nd in the state singles competition.
This finishes off another strong season for the Scots which saw them with 5 bowlers named All-Conference, Johnson, M. Smith, Bowyer, K. Smith and Tillson. Coach Megan Jernigan was named Conference Coach of the Year.
